Greyton Transport 2030

This vision statement forms part of the Greyton in 2030 Vision: Since Greyton’s roads are designed for people first and vehicles second, vehicles above a certain width are not permitted in the village except for people with mobility difficulties and for essential deliveries. More than 50% of Greyton’s roads are pedestrianised.  As far as possible, we provide mobility powered by natural means and not reliant on fossil fuels.

Current key activities towards Greyton’s transport vision:

GTT applauds the work of the Greyton/Genadendal mountain biking initiative which has done so much to support the growth of cycling in and around Greyton.  The EcoLodge provided a home for this project until a permanent solution had been found and GTT continues to support the growth of leisure and sport cycling in the area.
